Position Summary
The SFI is responsible for conducting Ground School and Simulator Instruction for the respective fleet, focusing on Initial Type Rating, Conversion Courses, and Refresher Training. They will contribute to enhancing the operational standards of the fleet’s simulators and training media by providing improvement suggestions to the CFI. Additionally, the SFI will be qualified to perform the duties of a technical ground school instructor.
Principal Responsibilities

Ensuring and maintaining the highest training standards as directed by the Head of Standards.

Providing expertise and training in developing or revising lessons, training materials, and training devices.

Reporting any deviations from standard procedures or training standards to the Head of Standards.

Completing Technical Logs, Defect Reports, Training Forms, and Company Records accurately.

Assisting with routine Quality Checks on training devices.
Required Experience

Strong instructional skills with excellent technical and operational knowledge of the aircraft types instructed.

Must hold or have held an ATPL or equivalent; previous civil instructional qualification is desirable.

Working knowledge of JAR-FCL.

Effective communication skills, with the patience and ability to motivate colleagues and students.

The jobholder must undergo an annual proficiency check to JAR-FCL standards and demonstrate instructional skills during the annual instrument proficiency check.
