Shape the Future of green transition and urban development
We are seeking a Head of Discipline to guide and enhance our expanding team of specialists in the Discipline Planning and Environmental Assessment West. The discipline is focused on spatial planning and environmental assessments of plans and projects with specialists located in both Aarhus and Aalborg. The team consist of around 25 professionals. The discipline work alongside our customers on some of Denmark’s most prestigious and innovative projects within the green transition, large infrastructure- and urban development projects. At the moment we are involved in multiple PtX and carbon capture projects and have a close cooperation with Energinet regarding miscellaneous energy infrastructure projects.

In addition, we have Denmark's largest production of local plans together with a wide scope of environmental assessments and other plan-related services such as master planning, landscape analysis, visualisations, retail planning and planning in Greenland.

The focus of the Discipline includes producing the needed planning documents and environmental assessments in collaboration with the investor and/or the authority. Your responsibilities will include guiding your team while also engaging in various projects related to one or more of our primary domains. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other Head of Disciplines in the Engineering Area and your team of professionals and report to the Head of Engineering, Jonas Klinck.

Your Key Responsibilities will be

• Ensuring the well-being of your employees and cultivating a positive work environment, while facilitating personal and professional development for your team members.
• Managing day-to-day resource coordination.
• Assessing hiring needs and overseeing the recruitment process.
• Coordinating with other Heads of Disciplines, resource managers, market and project directors, and the Vice President.
• Processing information from upper management and implementing relevant actions.
• Acting as a senior specialist/project manager within your area of expertise which preferable is spatial planning or environmental assessments.

Your Qualifications

Additionally, you will have:

• To motivate others through a constructive attitude, emphasizing the personal requirements of staff while aligning with collective goals.
• Extensive professional knowledge and a broad network within spatial planning and/or environmental assessments.
• Skilled in project management stakeholder engagement or technical delivery.
• A master’s degree in spatial planning, environmental engineering, geography, biology or a related field.
• Proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
