We are looking for a Head of Engineering for Renewables & Green Fuels to represent a diverse team of professionals with different backgrounds, all sharing a high level of specialist knowledge. In close cooperation with the Heads of Discipline, Heads of Projects, the Technical Directors, Resource Manager and Market Directors, you will be responsible for developing our renewable energy business and its three core service areas: district energy, hydrogen/PtX and carbon capture.

As Head of Engineering, you will join the senior leadership team in Renewables & Green Fuels, where we focus on collaborative teamwork and the will to win jointly. In the role as Head of Engineering, you will:

• Guide and role model according to COWI's values and leadership behaviors.
• Support optimal project delivery and high profitability by ensuring ideal staffing, resolution to technical obstacles, and participation in customer and senior project team meetings.
• Closely interact with the Market team to facilitate COWI has the right capabilities for future projects.
• Stay up to date and define overall needs for technical development across disciplines and set plans for the development and talent acquisition.
• Translate growth plans and strategic direction to resource planning.
• Supervise, spare with and manage performance of teams of Technical Directors and Heads of Disciplines to ensure their ability to perform well.
• Build engagement and enable a motivated, diverse and inclusive culture with professional and individual development that set COWI up for sustainable growth.

On top of that, you will have:

• A relevant technical professional degree, with 10 years of experience.
• Comprehensive management experience.
• Experience in the energy sector, including an understanding of carbon capture, hydrogen/PtX and district energy.
• Professional proficiency in Danish and English.
