Development Manager

Dalux is growing and growing fast - and we want you to take part in our continued success! We are looking for a manager with a background in software development, who is passionate about helping people succeed and grow.

As our new Development Manager, you will, together with other leaders in Dalux Development, shape and develop our organization, processes, and the product.

Development Management at Dalux
As Development Manager, you will be a central contributor to building our R&D organization and have responsibility for several of our development teams - up to 20 team members in total.

The role has three essential parts:

• People Management: Ensure your developers are motivated, engaged, and able to grow professionally. All Development Managers are also a central part of our cross-department recruitment effort.
• Continuous Improvement: Working within the framework of Dalux’ best practices, you are encouraged and expected to bring your ideas for improving the development process and have a positive impact on your teams’ way of working ultimate making better customer solutions.
• Change Management: All our leaders contribute to developing Dalux’ organization by driving projects and initiatives – e.g. improve our developer infrastructure, architecture, tooling, or innovation process.

These responsibilities are key as we aim to grow our organization by roughly 40% over the next year and wish to bolster effectiveness and developer satisfaction, while fostering a great engineering culture at Dalux.

Our development department applies the latest technology and best practices in the industry in a sensible and pragmatic manner. Our software stack includes C#/.NET, MSSQL, ElasticSearch, DirectX 11 (backend), .NET MAUI, Vulcan, Angular, WebGL (Mobile and front-end). Our CI/CD uses Jenkins, Git (GitLab), and our hosting solution is AWS.

We do not expect you to do hands-on coding in this role, but you must be able to spot and hire great talent that fits our technology and culture.

About you
We imagine you have a background in software development, and you have previous experience with taking on responsibility – this being technical or people leadership. We also believe you have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.

Furthermore, you are fluent in Agile Software Development and have a passion for helping people grow and the servant leadership skills to match.
