The National Food Institute at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for a position as Tenure Track researcher in the Research Group on Nutrition, Sustainability and Health Promotion. One of the focus areas of the group is sustainable nutrition. The research group is interdisciplinary combining nutrition, health, environmental sustainability and sociological perspectives. It has a dynamic staff with especially national but also international visibility, and many research collaborations with other universities and organisations.
The research field concerns exploring the transition to sustainable diets, which can greatly enhance human and planetary health and contributing to the scientific foundation for advice and policies that promote the adoption of more healthy and sustainable diets. The focus is on exploring nutritional and environmental effects of existing and alternative dietary patterns, and ways of changing our dietary intake towards one that is healthier and more sustainable.
Responsibilities and qualifications
The DTU National Food Institute wants to strengthen our research within dietary patterns among population segments with a particular focus on environmental, nutritional and health sustainability. You will contribute to this research by:
You must contribute to the teaching of courses supervise student projects. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.
As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as nutrition (e.g., nutrition science, nutritional epidemiology), sustainability (e.g., environmental health, food systems), or a related discipline (e.g., public health).
You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
Starting date is 1 August 2025 (or according to mutual agreement). The position is a full-time position.
