Solutions Engineering Manager (Presales)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

As a Presales Manager (Data & AI) you will lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects focusing on complex, strategic accounts, helping to lead our Nordics expansion. Your experience partnering with sales organisations will help to close revenue with opportunities in consumption sales whilst coaching new sales and pre-sales team members to work together. You will guide your team and be involved with opportunities to enhance your team's effectiveness. You must be an expert at communicating complex, business value-focused solutions, supporting complex sales cycles, and building relationships with key stakeholders in large corporations.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Field Engineering.

The impact you will have:

• Manage hiring, onboarding and building your Presales Solutions Architect team
• Rapidly scale the designated team without sacrificing quality
• Build a collaborative culture within a rapid-growth team. To embody and promote Databricks' customer-obsessed, teamwork and diverse culture
• Support increase in consumption sales on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles
• Promote a solution and value-based selling field-engineering organisation
• Display an understanding of business needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region
• Build Databricks' brand in Nordics in partnership with the Marketing and Sales team

What we look for:

• Experience in pre-sales manager role in developing, managing and building a team of successful Big Data, Cloud, Analytics or AI professionals
• Experience in complex strategic accounts generating consumption sales
• Have experience scaling and mentoring field and technical teams
• Knowledgeable in and passionate about data-driven decisions, AI, Analytics and Cloud software models
• Great at instituting processes for technical field members to improve efficiency
• Market experience of the EMEA region
• Fluent language skills in: English and Danish
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• The role requires travel to the offices, customer sites and events across the Nordic region and EMEA/US.
