About the projects

The DeCouple project aims to decouple resource consumption and growth in the textile industry. To achieve this, the project is paving the way by using product data to extend the lifespan of textiles in the laundry industry. The project focuses on exploring the barriers of circular workwear across reuse, remanufacture and recycling.

The upcoming project aims to transition the textile industry, with a focus on performance textiles (upholstery and carpets), to a circular economy. It takes a holistic approach by addressing prevention (design for longevity), reuse (repurposing post-industrial textile waste into new products), and recycling (fibre-to-fibre recycling through chemical/mechanical solutions).
