Welcome to a specialized and innovative team

Ferrosan Medical Devices develops haemostatic products that are used worldwide to minimize bleeding during surgeries. Our products help save lives, and now you get to play an important part in the development of these products. Joining us at our HQ in Søborg, you will become an integral part of our Technology Innovation department, consisting of 17 highly specialized engineers and pharmacists.


Our responsibility is to transfer product requirements into specific equipment and process requirements. We ensure sourcing of equipment from suppliers and are responsible for specification, qualification, validation, process transfer and ramp-up/optimization, whether it takes place internally or externally. We work within a range of areas, including the basic gelatine process, kitting, blister packaging, sterilization, finished goods packaging etc.


We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in Validation to join our team at Ferrosan Medical Device. You will play a pivotal role in the design, testing, and validation of medical devices to ensure they meet all necessary quality standards and regulations.


A lot of your work will include close cooperation with both our external machine builders, manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders like Product Innovation, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing.

Your language proficiency in both written and spoken English is at a professional level as many of your tasks will be executed in collaboration with English speaking colleagues.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as instruments, controls, robots, etc.
  • Prepare, schedule, and execute validation protocols for new and existing products.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs to ensure devices are designed and validated to the regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed validation reports and documentation.

Our portfolio consists of various hemostatic products to minimize bleeding challenges in surgery and electromechanical medical devices to perform breast biopsies. New ideas are developed and matured from the first thought to finished implementation in production. And we manage the business with an uncompromising focus on quality based on current GMP requirements.
