SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Do you have a proven track record in accounting tasks that elevate accounting and finance reporting? Join us at Georg Jensen as we seek a dynamic individual to fill the role of Senior US Accountant. In this position, you will be responsible for the accounting tasks ensuring good quality and proper finance reporting, meeting deadlines in timely manner.
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, this role encompasses all tasks related to the bookkeeping of our US entity and its related financial reporting to Fiskars Finance team. As a valued member of our accounting department, you will report directly to the Head of Accounting. This full-time role offers flexible work arrangements, including options for in-office and hybrid work.
What You’ll Do At Georg Jensen
Responsibilities:
- Daily accounting tasks: Record, monitor and report financial transactions within US accounting (including Account Payables, Account Receivables, General Ledger, Assets, Inventory, Bank, VAT, Tax).
- Monthly Reporting: Reconcile accounts for US to ensure they are accurate and complete.
- Prepare accounting/financial reports and statements.
- Annual report: Provide support and technical advice to internal stakeholders within own area of expertise and support in audits.
- Take ownership of execute process improvements in US accounting and financial submission.
- Back-up on other EU entities (due to holidays rotation).

Experience & knowledge:
- 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Accounting: You have hands-on experience developing and implementing accounting processes and improving procedures and guidelines.
- Systems and software: Excellent computer skills and experience in the use of MS Excel
- If you are familiar with Microsoft Dynamics Axapta and/or SAP, it is a plus.
- Knowledge of US market/financial environment is also a plus but not necessary.

Minimum Bachelor’s degree
