The Wine & Meat team at FOSS is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional support to our colleagues and customers worldwide. We’re excited to welcome a talented and driven Global Support Specialist to our Technical Product Management team.
Why this job matters
As a Global Support Specialist, you’ll be the go-to expert for technical product knowledge and top-notch hardware support for X-ray and infrared instruments. These are central solutions for our customers’ business, so quality in hardware, software, and service is essential.
You will be part of the great Wine & Meat team where we support our colleagues globally and participate in development projects at the FOSS Innovation Centre. We play a key role in the success of the FOSS Service Departments globally; without the knowledge we provide, they cannot do their job.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will be responsible for sharing valuable product insights gained from development projects, expert colleagues, and support cases with the FOSS Service organization. This will involve creating and maintaining comprehensive service documentation, as well as developing and delivering engaging training for the solutions under your care.
You will provide both remote and occasional onsite technical support and training on FOSS instruments globally, ensuring swift and effective troubleshooting. Additionally, you will manage product service kits and spare parts, monitor product quality, and address any issues that arise.
You will participate in development projects where you will set service models and maintenance protocols, contribute to hardware and software requirements, and support product launches with technical documentation and training programs.
As a member of our Wine and Meat team, you’ll join a dynamic, high-performing international group where mutual support, collaboration, and trust are key.
What we’re looking for
Professional skills:
Background in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field
Strong communicator with a knack for sharing technical knowledge with field service engineers in writing and classroom training
Experience supporting analytical instrumentation
Familiarity with the food or agricultural industry is a plus
Personal competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical topics in English
Passion for providing top-tier support and creative solutions with a strong customer service ethic
Technical troubleshooting mindset with a curiosity to learn quickly and understand complex systems
Collaborative and decisive, with a focus on fulfilling customer needs
Open-minded, proactive, flexible, and ready to tackle various challenges in a changing environment
