The Role:
We are seeking a QA Specialist to evaluate software quality through both manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for identifying and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also skilled in executing test cases and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications, and systems function correctly.
Your Primary Tasks Will Be:
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Develop effective test plans and test cases
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Key Focus Areas:
- The role centers around dynamic customer-facing products, with a strong focus on delivering seamless user experiences
- Developing and maintaining reusable automated tests using tools like Cypress, Postman and possible other tools
- Expanding test coverage through automation to support regression and functional testing
- Promoting a culture of automation to improve quality and reduce time-to-market
- Adherence to quality processes and procedures
- Effective use of tools (e.g., JIRA) for defect tracking and reporting
- Ensuring all critical functionalities are tested before release
- Delivering a product that meets stakeholder expectations with minimal issues in production
Your Profile:
- Proven experience as a Software Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar role
- Test automation experience (ideally with Cypress)
- Familiarity with regression testing is a plus
- Working knowledge of test management software (ideally JIRA)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely report testing outcomes, defects, and risks
- Strong collaboration skills, actively participating in team activities and building relationships across teams to resolve dependencies and address blockers
- Attention to detail
- Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
- Ideally from a payments background or at least banking
- Experience with JIRA
