The Montoya and Taylor Groups at Novo Nordisk Center for Protein Research are looking for a motivated and reliable Laboratory Technician for the two teams.

Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (CPR), www.cpr.ku.dk, a Novo Nordisk Foundation Center of excellence, was established in 2007 and embedded in the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, to promote basic and applied research on human proteins of medical relevance. Your tasks
As Laboratory Technician, you will have the following skills and responsibilities:

• Recombinant protein expression and purification using AKTA systems
• Molecular biology techniques: PCR, cloning into bacterial expression vectors, DNA extraction and purification, DNA and protein gel electrophoresis, familiar with DNA analysis software
• Prepare solutions and reagents for protein purification, including making buffers, antibiotic stocks and LB antibiotic selection agar plates
• Cleaning laboratory equipment
• Restocking media and buffers from the SUND Sterile department
• Handle laboratory waste and ensure proper removal to the storage area

Profile
Essential experience and skills:

• Should hold a degree as laboratory technician (academy profession degree or similar)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills, both in Danish and English; spoken and written

Terms of salary and employment
Your employment will be at CPR, Center for Protein Research, University of Copenhagen. The position is fixed-term from 15 June 2025 to 31 December 2026. The ideal candidate will work 37 hours per week, providing support for various research projects in the laboratories. Employment as Laboratory Technician will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AOA/HK STAT
