The International School of Kalundborg is Denmark’s second municipal international school, opening in August 2025. As a pedagogue on our team, you will contribute to a thriving, multilingual learning environment for children from the age of 5 – 16, alongside passionate and skilled colleagues. Together, we will foster a culture of curiosity, resilience, and strong community values for students from all over the world.
This is a unique opportunity to help establish a new school, develop traditions, and shape a welcoming and supportive environment for children from diverse backgrounds. You will play a key role in both the classroom and the school’s morning and afternoon care (SFO), ensuring a smooth transition for students many of whom are new to Denmark. Your ability to adapt pedagogical approaches to meet their needs will be crucial in helping them settle into their new surroundings.
We are a bilingual international public school offering education during the first year of existence for grades 0-7, taught in both Danish and English. Our curriculum follows the Danish Ministry of Education’s framework alongside Cambridge International standards. The school is deeply committed to creating a supportive and inspiring environment for children both inside and outside the classroom.
Holds a formal education in pedagogy and preferably has at least 2 years of relevant experience
Has an interest for and maybe experience from working with international children and families
Is flexible, creative, and eager to contribute to the school’s development
Speaks fluent Danish and has a high level of English proficiency
Support students' academic and personal development, recognizing that all teachers play a role in language acquisition.
