Co-Founder & Energy Expert Driving the Future of Building Decarbonization and Regulatory Compliance

We’re looking for a co-founder with experience in the energy sector and an entrepreneurial mindset, along with a deep understanding of building SaaS products. Who’s ready to jump into a new adventure to help build a platform that optimizes how energy assessments are conducted, starting with Denmark.

About the Startup
Iris is a smart energy screening tool designed to help Installers in Denmark and beyond, conduct more efficient and accurate energy assessments for building owners.

Municipalities and commercial real estate are facing growing pressure to upgrade the energy performance of their building portfolios to meet EU and national decarbonization regulations. But today’s energy assessments are slow, expensive, and fragmented—making it hard to prioritize renovations and slowing down climate action.

Iris simplifies this process. By combining data sources and offering actionable insights, our platform helps installers streamline retrofit planning and empowers building owners to meet regulations faster — unlocking scalable, cost-effective energy optimization.

Job requirements
The Opportunity
As Co-Founder, you'll transition Iris from a promising, validated concept into a scalable SaaS business. You’ll leverage your expertise to shape the product, build strategic relationships, and drive market adoption.

• Driving the direction of the product - Working closely with the customer and translating your findings into prioritized product features.
• Tech Savvy - You don’t need to be a technical expert, but you should know how to leverage technology effectively to build tech products and communicate your findings to your tech and product team.
• Strategic Partnerships – Build alliances with installers, energy consultants, municipalities, and industry stakeholder

About You
You’re a senior leader with proven experience scaling B2B SaaS products, ideally within the energy, sustainability, or built environment sectors.

• Strong knowledge of energy systems, building simulation tools, and smart energy technologies
• Experience working in product development and turning customer insights into tangible features.
• Deep understanding of building SaaS products.
• A relevant industry network across municipalities, energy consultants, or installers
• A strategic mindset, but also hands-on—you know how to lead, but also how to roll up your sleeves
• Entrepreneurial energy—you don’t need to have been a founder before, but you think and act like one
• Fluent in Danish and English
