Group Master Data Specialist

At Ole & Steen Lagkagehuset, we are looking for a Group Master Data Specialist to ensure our data is accurate, efficient, and value-driven—especially as we transition to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (FO365).

A key role in the implementation

In this newly created role as Group Master Data Specialist, you will report directly to Group Head of Procurement and will be participating in leading the master data implementation alongside one colleague.

Your focus will be overseeing master data from suppliers to end-users, optimizing workflows, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving best practices for data governance and compliance.

You will work closely with teams as Production, Product Development, the Revenue Management team, the Digital team, and Innovation, while also having significant interaction with Sales to ensure seamless data integration across the organization.

Your key responsibilities will be

Master Data Maintenance

Perform daily master data maintenance involving activities such as creating, validating, and updating items that include but are not limited to products, customers, vendors, and pricing structures. Any discrepancy observed must be rectified for all systems to possess integrity aspects.

Data Cleanup for ERP Migration

Perform extensive data analysis and cleansing in preparation for migration to FO365. Collaborate with the ERP project team on the validation of migrated data and troubleshooting of data-related issues during the transition. Map data fields from AX2012 to FO365, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.

Campaign and Promotion Setup

Collaborate closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure proper execution of promotional activities. Test and validate campaigns within the system before deployment to production environments.

Data Governance and Compliance:

Implement data governance policies to guarantee the company is observing the Danish Bookkeeping Law and internal standards. Have a data audit trail of all master data changes to support both internal and external audits. Regularly review and refine the master data standards for evolving business needs.

Collaboration and Process Improvement:

Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance workflows of master data and integration points. Offer analysis and recommendations for improvement on the data management process. Serve as a contact for Master Data–related inquiries and support needs.

To succeed in this role, you

• Have a degree and work experience in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Have hands-on ERP experience – At least 3 years of experience managing master data within an ERP system (e.g., MS Dynamics AX2012 or FO365), including data migration and cleanup.
• Understand ERP data structures – Strong knowledge of products, vendors, customers, and pricing within an ERP system.
• Are technically skilled – Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and SQL for data manipulation and reporting. Experience with ERP data tools and integrations is a plus.
• Have an analytical and structured approach – Ability to work with large datasets, ensure data accuracy, and optimize workflows across the organization.

Proficiency in both Danish and English is a requirement for this role.
