MB Shipbrokers is a prominent player across all sectors of the shipping industry. We are now looking for an experienced Shipbroker to join our dynamic, international team at our Copenhagen office. You will have the opportunity to specialise in a particular segment or area within shipbroking, aligning with your expertise and interest. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who has completed a shipbroker trainee programme and is ready to take the next step in their career.
The Role:
As an experienced Shipbroker at MB Shipbrokers, you will play a key role in either our Sale & Purchase, Chartering, or Newbuildings department, where you will manage and develop client relationships, negotiate deals, and drive business success across various segments of the shipping industry.
You will bring your in-depth knowledge and practical experience in shipbroking to contribute to our ongoing success. In this role, you will work closely with our team to identify new opportunities, provide strategic advice to clients, and continue to expand your professional network globally.
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an individual with:
· Previous experience as a Shipbroker, ideally having completed a shipbroker trainee programme or equivalent.
· Strong knowledge of the shipping industry, with a particular focus on your chosen specialisation (Sale & Purchase, Chartering, Newbuildings, etc.).
· A proven track record in building and maintaining successful client relationships.
· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· A proactive and self-motivated approach to your work, with a focus on achieving results and business growth.
· A passion for international business and a strong understanding of global markets.
What We Offer:
At MB Shipbrokers, you will join a globally recognised company with over a century of experience and a strong international presence. We are committed to providing you with a collaborative, supportive work environment where your expertise is valued, and your career development is prioritised.
Despite the busy nature of the shipping industry, we understand the importance of work-life balance and foster a culture of well-being. You will enjoy flexible working hours, weekly workout sessions, access to padel courts, and social events to connect with your colleagues. Our Copenhagen office is conveniently located near Østerport station, the city, and the sea, with on-site changing facilities and a canteen offering freshly prepared meals.
Join Our Team:
At MB Shipbrokers, we recognise that diverse perspectives are essential in driving innovation and delivering better solutions. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals, regardless of gender, background, or identity, feel valued and empowered to contribute. Additionally, we place significant importance on teamwork and consider our employees to be our most valuable assets, benefiting from the supportive and collegial atmosphere we cultivate. We are dedicated to our work, and we expect the same level of commitment and passion from you.
If you are an experienced Shipbroker looking for a new opportunity and the chance to work in a dynamic, global environment, we encourage you to apply. Please submit your application via our job portal to ensure it is considered. Please be aware that only candidates with a valid work permit for Denmark will be taken into consideration.
