Project Manager – M5 Metro Line, Copenhagen

The Copenhagen Metro is expanding, and Metroselskabet is leading the development of M5 , a new metro line that will connect the growing eastern harbour districts to the rest of the city. M5 will not only enhance accessibility but also increase metro capacity across the harbour, strengthening Copenhagen’s public transport network.

We are currently finalizing the environmental impact assessment , developing the reference design and contract requirements , and preparing for enabling works . To support this, we are creating a new Project Manager position for a strong generalist profile to work closely with the Project Director in leading the Project Management Office (PMO) , ensuring governance, planning, and execution across all phases of the project.

Your Role

As Project Manager , you will be responsible for establishing and managing an efficient project office, ensuring structure, coordination, and strategic alignment. You will work closely with the Project Director and senior leadership to provide management support, streamline processes, and maintain project clarity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Project Governance & Planning – Develop and implement project management tools and methodologies.
• Scheduling & Coordination – Oversee project timelines and ensure cross-disciplinary alignment.
• Financial & Commercial Support – Contribute to cost forecasting and commercial controls.
• Reporting & Strategic Decision-Making – Prepare reports, presentations, and decision proposals.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Facilitate meetings, workshops, and internal communication.

Your Profile

You are a structured and proactive professional with experience in large infrastructure projects. You thrive in a dynamic environment, can engage with stakeholders at all levels, and bring strategic thinking to execution.

Qualifications:

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to navigate a politically influenced environment
• Experience preparing decision proposals and reports for senior management
• Experience in infrastructure projects, project governance, and scheduling
• Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to translate ideas into action
• Degree and 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Fluent in Danish and English
