Muhabet Aarhus is looking for more volunteers, so if you want to be part of a multi-ethnic drop-in center that creates a safe environment for people with mental illness or vulnerability, then Muhabet is the place for you. Muhabet is especially for women and men with refugee- or immigrant backgrounds, which results in the drop-in center consisting of people with many different languages ​​and ethnic backgrounds. Each guest is unique, and the relationship and care tie us together.

"Muhabet" translates to "caring togetherness". In Muhabet, respect for community and diversity is indispensable values, and both guests, employees and volunteers contribute with what they are good at.

We seek volunteers who want to help us maintaining the host function in Muhabet. The work primarily involves supportive conversations and for example board games or creative projects.

We are seeking volunteers who simultaneously has a second language such as Farsi, Somali, Kurdish, Turkish or Arabic, who can join us as a linguistic intermediary.

We expect our volunteers to be living (legally) in Denmark, to have a work-permit (we do not help with work permits), to be mature, over 23 years and mentally robust. It is necessary that we have a language in common - either danish og english at advanced level.

Volunteering hours is from 11.30-16.30 Monday, Tuesday or Friday, and we would like you to be here at least once a week - either planning which day from week to week or the same day. Furthermore, we expect our volunteers to comit for at least 3 months.
