About Optio Optio is a Fintech company with offices in Oslo (HQ), Stockholm, Copenhagen, Barcelona, and London. With the help of our internal financial experts, we develop technology to simplify all aspects of our corporate clients' (B2B) equity-based incentive programs for their employees. Today, we work with customers such as Telenor, Telia, Tryg, Storytel, Bang & Olufsen, Telia, Truecaller, and many more, and we have doubled our turnover every year since we started in 2018. About the role
In the role of an Account Executive at Optio, you will play an important role in the company's commercial team and the company's future plans. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Nordics, and be vital in Optio's commercial success initially working from our office in Copenhagen. You’ll leverage consultative sales methodologies to propel revenue growth while becoming a trusted partner to customers, helping them embed and deploy equity incentives while uncovering its full range of Optio’s capabilities. In collaboration with Product- and Marketing teams, you’ll continuously refine our value proposition, sales methodology, and market positioning to ensure differentiated value across the landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Own the market, win new business, and drive revenue for Optio in Denmark. Find your way to the right people at prospective customers, educate them about equity incentives, and help them succeed with Optio. You’ll own the full sales cycle, from first outbound to launch.
  • Design and execute innovative sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue quotas. Analyze market landscapes, trends, and dynamics to translate high-level plans into targeted sales activities, partnerships, and campaigns
  • Spearhead market expansion by pinpointing new customer segments and use cases. Collaborate cross-functionally to differentiate our offerings and sustain a competitive edge
  • Inform product roadmaps and features by gathering customer feedback and conveying market needs. Provide insights that strengthen our value proposition and enhance the customer experience
  • Continuously refine the sales methodology by incorporating learnings into playbooks, templates, and best practices. Identify process improvements that optimize sales productivity and consistency

We believe you have an instinctive commercial understanding and that you have an analytical approach to everything you do. You enjoy working in an international environment, and that you are comfortable having a consultative dialogue with C-level executives.

We also envision that you are ambitious, entrepreneurial and can easily collaborate with others across departments, personalities, and countries as the role will have many contact areas both internally and externally.

To succeed in this role, we believe that:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial roles within finance, or extensive experience with prospecting and closing leads, driving adoption of emerging technologies with a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach
  • Familiarity working within complex sales cycles, selling to technical stakeholders, and securing strategic deals by understanding multifaceted technical requirements and crafting tailored solutions
  • Success as a strategic business advisor, with a deep understanding of the customer’s compensation philosophy, and creating innovative solutions that align with their vision
  • Exposure to negotiating complex, customized commercial agreements with multiple stakeholders
  • A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves'' mentality. You are a true team player
  • Analytical approach to understanding customer needs combined with creative follow-up to advance opportunities
  • A strategic, analytical approach to assessing markets combined with creative, tactical execution to capture opportunities
