Senior Director of Operations - Would you like to contribute to improving the quality of life of people with hearing loss?
At Oticon Medical, we develop, produce and market bone-anchored hearing systems. At our site ITSA Medical in Vallauris (Sophia Antipolis), in the south of France, we specialize in the production of active implantable class III implants and soon also worldwide distribution of the company’s full product portfolio. In addition, the site hosts an R&D team and the sales organization for France.
We are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director Operations to head up the ITSA Medical operations activities and further strengthen our global Oticon Medical operations organization. Reporting to the Oticon Medical VP QARA & Operations you will be overall responsible for the production activities being run on site in Sophia Antipolis as well as the distribution activities in Oticon Medical globally.
Responsibilities
Lead the ITSA Medical on-site Operations team, bringing together all the support functions necessary for the proper functioning of high-quality manufacturing of implantable medical devices
Define the global distribution strategy for Oticon Medical and be responsible for execution
Contribute to the future global Operations strategy for Oticon Medical and run projects to execute accordingly
Key Working Relationships
Regular interactions with companies in the group, critical suppliers and partners
Your closest manager is located in Sweden
Your Main Missions
Lead the ITSA Medical on-site production organization including production, engineering, supply chain, quality, new product introduction (NPI), post-market change activities as well as IT and administration support functions
Secure cost effective running of all activities, establish the annual budget and ensure follow-up and compliance with the execution
Enforce applicable rules and procedures
Define the strategic orientations of Operations and the associated resources - Secure daily serial production. Guarantee high quality products in compliance with the quality system and applicable requirements - Responsible for the introduction of new products in production, ensure industrialization and ramp-up - Develop suppliers and secure efficient sourcing - Secure on time delivery to distributors and customers worldwide
Further develop and grow the Operations activities on site at ITSA Medical - Insource global distribution to the ITSA Medical site and secure operational excellence - Introduce additional products to the ITSA Medical site sourcing and manufacturing scope
Your Profile
Masters degree/Bac 5 in science or engineering degree
Strong financial background
Significant experience of more than 10 years in an operations leadership role in the pharmaceutical and/or medical industries
Know-how : - Good technical knowledge, manufacturing processes, an industrial environment - Good knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the pharmaceutical and/or medical implant industry - Proven experience of accounting/finance
Interpersonal skills : - Excellent leadership and management skills - Proven experience in general organization management - Good ability to analyze complex situations and make decisions - Influencing the organization and/or management in order to achieve results - Good communication skills
Fluent in French and English
