Join our Saxo OpenAPI Commercialization team and play a pivotal role in accelerating the adoption and understanding of our OpenAPI technology among developers and clients globally.

The Role
As the OpenAPI Platform Manager, you'll report to the Head of OpenAPI Commercialization and be an integral part of the OpenAPI Commercialization team. Our team is responsible for defining the product for our IT organization and subsequently making it commercially available to external consumers. Great APIs require meticulous design and robust documentation. This is where you come in. We're adopting an "API Design First" approach, and we need your help to stay ahead of the curve. You will oversee a subset of our API, guiding the design process from inception to release and beyond. Your role involves ensuring APIs are intuitive, user-friendly, and well-documented. You'll also create relevant samples and documentation while collaborating with development teams on implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, shape, and validate new API functionalities from our IT department, ensuring they are well-designed, documented, and functional. We use OpenAPI Spec (OAS/Swagger) together with an extensive custom built toolchain to generate scaffold code for our IT teams
• Write samples and documentation to explain API features in a business context
• Engage with API users and leverage their feedback for continuous improvement
• Take ownership of a subset of our API
• Dedicate 4-6 hours per week to answering questions and assisting clients as part of our OpenAPI Support rotation

Your profile
Passionate about APIs as a product, you have a keen interest in technology, trading, and investment. This enthusiasm drives you to stay updated with the latest advancements and trends.

As an effective communicator, you possess excellent verbal and written skills that enable seamless engagement with developers and clients. With a strong sense of quality and a collaborative spirit, you recognize that teamwork is essential for solving complex problems. You bring in-depth knowledge and experience with at least one backend or frontend development language, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Python, making you a versatile developer. Hands-on experience with OpenAPIs, API design, and related technologies, including Swagger/OAS, allows you to create robust and efficient APIs. Your strong opinions on good API design and developer experience are backed by practical experience in designing APIs or working with them as a frontend or backend developer.

Excelling in writing samples and updating documentation, you ensure that all technical information is clear and accessible. Your ability to work in a diverse, global team highlights adaptability and openness to different perspectives. Additionally, knowledge of financial markets and experience with trading or investing provide valuable insights that can enhance the development of APIs in the financial sector.
