We are looking for a Product Owner for Tax who will act as the business representative in the work centered around Tax reporting in DK, FO, NO, SE and GL. This role involves leading tax solution projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring a clear product vision that aligns with business needs. You will be responsible for translating regulatory requirements into solutions, breaking them down into tasks, prioritizing, and defining specifications while working closely with both business and IT developers.
In addition to shaping the product roadmap, you will oversee the execution of annual and ongoing tax reporting, ensuring that all requirements agreed upon with the banks are met. As new legislation emerges, you will play a key role in implementing necessary changes in collaboration with the banks, ensuring a well-structured division of responsibilities between SDC and its stakeholders.
With a strong product focus, this role requires the ability to navigate complex requirements, engage with diverse stakeholders, and drive continuous improvements in the tax solution. You will be at the center of ensuring that tax processes run smoothly while maintaining a strategic perspective on future development.
Tax area at SDC
Tax is a part of the Regulatory Reporting Department and sits at the center of SDC’s Core Platforms & Applications Area. You could say that we’re the crew keeping regulatory products, services, and operations table run smoothly for our customers across Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Sweden and Norway.
The department, consisting of three teams, handles maintenance and development of solutions for regulatory and BI needs. We provide services and products across the following areas: AML, Risk, Credit, ESG, Tax, Axapta & Accounting.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Represent business interests in tax-related work, focusing on maximizing value
Define and maintain a clear product vision, aligning future development with a structured roadmap
Translate requirements into actionable solutions, managing task breakdown, prioritization, and backlog coherence with business and IT teams
Oversee annual, quarterly and monthly tax reporting, including communication, corrections, and SKAT script maintenance
Ensure tax solutions meet banking requirements, implement legislative changes in collaboration with banks, and establish clear responsibility divisions between SDC and the banks
Manage the tax community by organizing meetings, setting agendas, and summarizing key discussions
Develop and document user stories and use cases with stakeholders
Facilitate ongoing deliveries with the operational team and address deviations as needed
Engage in continuous dialogue with tax authorities on new initiatives and regulatory updates
Create, maintain, and align commercial and compliance roadmaps with stakeholders
What makes you a great fit?
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
Extensive experience with data reporting to TAX authorities as a data provider
Ability to cultivate high-performance, self-driven teams
Solid understanding of agile methodologies and management
Hands-on SQL experience for data processing
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Comfortable engaging with both IT and business
Fluent in Danish or Swedish, or Norwegian, as well as English

SDC and Netcompany to develop the future of banking services
In February 2025, SDC signed a merger agreement with Netcompany. This new constellation is aimed to offer top tier solutions to bank personnel and clients. As part of the merger, SDC will be renamed to Netcompany Banking Services. The merger is subject to customary regulatory approvals in Denmark, Norway, and the Faroe Islands and is expected to be finalised during the second quarter of 2025.
