We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior Scrum Master to champion agile principles and facilitate the success of dedicated R&D teams focused on the development of our next-generation SaaS platform. This is a pivotal role where you will empower cross-functional product teams to deliver high-value solutions in a fast-paced environment.
As a Scrum Master you are a servant leader responsible for ensuring that Scrum practices are understood and followed by the Scrum team. You act as a facilitator, coach, and protector for the team, helping to maximize productivity and maintain a focus on delivering high-value increments in a collaborative and self-organizing environment. You work closely with the Product Manager, Quality Assurance, and Operations representatives embedded within the empowered product teams to ensure a clear understanding of goals and priorities while removing obstacles that might hinder the team's progress. A solid understanding of software development processes and best practices is essential to effectively support the team and communicate with technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitating Scrum Events:
Organize and facilitate key Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Ensure that these events are productive, time-boxed, and focused on the sprint goals.
Coaching and Mentoring:
Educate the team on Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
Coach team members in self-management and cross-functionality.
Support the Product Manager in refining and managing the product backlog effectively.
Removing Impediments:
Actively identify and resolve obstacles that impede the team's progress.
Shield the team from distractions and external interruptions.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and actionable insights.
Track and visualize on key performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Technical Understanding:
Possess a strong understanding of software development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and DevOps principles.
Help translate technical challenges into actionable items for the team and stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with developers, QA engineers, and architects to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making.
Stakeholder Management:
Facilitate communication between the Scrum team and external stakeholders.
Ensure transparency of progress and challenges through effective reporting.
Fostering a Positive Team Environment:
Encourage collaboration, trust, and respect among team members.
Address team dynamics and resolve conflicts constructively.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification preferred.
Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum methodology, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Familiarity with software development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, or similar.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Experience in coaching teams and promoting Agile best practices.
Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Operations.
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience working in the IoT or industrial automation domain.
Experience working with and facilitating offshore development teams.
