In a world where more and more goods and services can be purchased as a subscription and the average person has more subscriptions than can be counted on one (or two) hands, consumers crave actionable insights into their recurring expenses. Subaio provides a Subscription Management application that gives consumers this control. Our products are delivered as a white-label SaaS solution directly in a bank’s online or mobile ecosystem that provides personalized and detailed information and control to the consumer. In addition, Subaio delivers a market-leading Credit-Check application based on transaction data that streamlines the loan application process.

At our core, we are a data company seeking to improve consumers’ financial health. We strive to provide simple solutions to complex financial questions. We’re a well-funded fintech with about 40 employees in Aalborg and Copenhagen, with high growth aspirations. Our customer list includes some of the most innovative banks in the Nordics and the rest of Europe!

We have significant commercial growth and are therefore seeking developers to join our teams of highly skilled developers for exciting new projects, such as supporting our market-leading credit-check application, which automatically creates budgets for loan applicants.

The team
You will be integrated into one of our two development teams. Both teams follow an agile process based on Kanban (with a hint of Scrum).

Regardless of which team you join, you will contribute to our successful Subscription Management solution and our Credit Check solution, which helps millions of end users understand and control their personal finances daily.

Our philosophy is that each team owns a specific domain inside Subaio and is in charge of all development and maintenance within that domain. Because of this philosophy, we have limited hand-over between teams and a strong focus on ensuring quality, a low defect rate, and sound development processes.

Our proven onboarding process will quickly get you up to speed and allow you to contribute new code as early as your first day!

What You’ll Do

• You have 5 years of experience in backend development with Java
• You have strong, proven Java qualifications and experience with Spring Boot or Java EE.
• You have strong skills in SQL and scripting languages.
• You preferably have experience with MariaDB/MySQL and MongoDB.
• You have a background in computer science or maybe you are self-taught. As long as you have the right mindset we don’t care 🙂
• You have the ability to analyze complex problems and devise simple solutions.
• You have a professional mindset and attention to both detail and the broader context.
• You love writing clear code and solving challenging problems.
• You insist on enhancing your skill-set every day.
• You can both work independently and collaborate with a team
