Tana Copenhagen is a global consultancy specializing in international development, with a focus on state-building and governance, peace and security, and sustainable green growth. Our work spans research, policy analysis, evaluations, formulations, training, and capacity development.

We operate in fragile and stable contexts across Africa, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, delivering assignments for leading development agencies, including Danida, Sida, NORAD, DFID, the EU, World Bank, UN, as well as NGOs, think tanks, private foundations, and companies. Tana has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality MEAL and policy advisory services in fragile contexts.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Enrolled in a postgraduate programme within development studies, political sciences or equivalent (you must receive credits for the internship as part of your degree);
• Strong research, analysis and writing skills;
• Written and verbal communication skills in English;
• Ability to work autonomously.

MAIN TASKS

• Assist with background research for Tana’s assignments, particularly in fragile and conflict-affected areas.
• Support Tana consultants in the development of evaluations, reviews, assessments, programme designs and policy analyses.
• Contribute to drafting and editing consultancy reports and research outputs.
• Organize, synthesize, and visualise data for use in evaluations, reports, and communications.
• Assist in the preparation of training and capacity development materials.
• Support the Business Development team with drafting Expressions of Interest (EOIs), preparing tender applications, and developing proposal documents.
• Perform ad hoc administrative or support tasks as needed by the team.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Are you passionate about international development and humanitarian work? At Tana Copenhagen, you will gain hands-on experience working with diverse clients from the development sector and deepen your understanding of development programming, governance, and peacebuilding. Alongside our team, you will work on a variety of tasks, from research and analysis to coordination and communications, and gain valuable insights into the work of a small, specialised development consultancy. As an intern you will also receive a monthly allowance.
