The Role
As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for driving our business with some of our valued Retail Partners. You will be based in our Nordic office in the center of Copenhagen in Carlsbergbyen. You report to the Nordic Business Unit Manager and be part of a commercial team with colleagues in both Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. Your key mission is to drive growth and market share through a strong and trusting relationship with our Retail Partners. You will be the point of contact in all aspects related to your retailers. The job has an equal balance of operational day-to-day tasks as well as a more strategic perspective on the business with a 1-2-year outlook. You need to embrace both aspects of the role.
Your Key Responsibilities
More Specifically, You Will
- Build a strong and clear business plan for your Retail Partners based on value opportunities and differentiation, fitted with the Retailers’ own strength and strategy
- Setting yearly and monthly targets on net sales and retail sales by retailer and by brand
- Presenting and negotiating trade plans and business opportunities on a regular basis
- Developing a complete understanding of your key accounts’ needs
- Managing communications between retailers and internal teams
- Collaborating with Brand Teams, Field Sales Teams, Store Design/Visual Merchandising teams, Supply chain teams, and Digital Teams dedicated to the same key accounts to ensure that the highest quality of processes and deliveries are achieved, and that all client needs are met
- Developing a solid and trusting relationship between your retail partners and The Estée Lauder Companies
Your Qualifications
- Master’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or similar educational background
- Currently, you are either a Key Account Manager or a Buyer in a large retail organization. Experience from the Beauty industry is a plus but not required
- You have a strong understanding of business building blocks (gross sales, net-sales, margins, new launches, returns etc.)
- Additionally, you can analyze data and sales statistics, and you are able to translate results into actions
- Proven results of delivering key account solutions and meeting sales goals
- Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow through on client contracts
- Good understanding of the digital opportunities to drive business
- Mastering MS Office with emphasis on superior Excel skills. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- You speak a Scandinavian language and English fluently and you are based in Denmark.
