THE WHY is a non-profit media organization based in Copenhagen. Our vision is to make informative, fact based human rights documentaries available to everyone, everywhere. Through a vast network of broadcasters and our social media platforms we reach millions of people around the world.
The Communications Intern will support the implementation of the organization’s communication strategy, posting on our SoMe platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok), writing articles for THE WHY’s website, editing small video clips for SoMe and maintaining relationships with outreach partners. As the communications assistant you will also assist with planning and executing the upcoming campaign Why Freedom, as well as other ad hoc tasks.

Working at THE WHY Foundation
The internship takes place in central Copenhagen, at our offices in Gothersgade 55, situated above Cinemateket. The internship is on a voluntary basis and is therefore unpaid, however you will have the chance to be a part of an inspiring and creative work environment close to the film industry, with free lunch every day at Cinemateket’s restaurant. The working period is preferably four days a week, from the start of August 2025 to the end of December 2025.
