We are looking for a Head of Facilities Management at Tietoevry Tech Services.

The Head of Facilities position at Tietoevry Tech Services is responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of real estate and facility activities for company globally. This includes portfolio planning, designing, leasing, operating, and maintaining facilities.

The role requires experience in managing a large lease and service portfolio for a global enterprise. The portfolio includes approximately 62k sqm across 40 locations, housing approximately 8,000 staff. The Head of Facilities will collaborate with HR, business, and leadership teams in different countries to identify opportunities and initiatives related to the portfolio and sites.

The role can be based in Riga, Espoo, Stockholm or Oslo and travel to other locations is expected. Tietoevry Tech Services also has hybrid ways of working.

Key responsibilities of the role include participating in operational planning, driving the execution of real estate and facilities management, optimizing expenses, improving facilities and services, and delivering workplace build outs and services to enhance employee productivity.

The Head of Facilities will also ensure alignment between the real estate and facility strategy and activities at the site level, manage the relationship with suppliers, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

Qualifications for the role include experience in managing corporate real estate and facilities functions, expertise in project and program management, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and the ability to drive solutions and problem-solving in a fast-paced organization. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation of a comprehensive facility management and portfolio strategy.
  • Manage the budget and financial performance of the facilities function, including forecasting, reporting, and optimizing expenses.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as IT, HR, security, and business units, to ensure alignment and integration of facility services and requirements.
  • Lead and develop a team of facility managers, coordinators, and technicians across multiple locations.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and service level agreements with external suppliers and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations, as well as corporate policies and procedures.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of the facilities function.
  • Analyze key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage suppliers, contracts, and service delivery to maintain high standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of facility management best practices, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office, and familiar with facility management software systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and physical security topics.
  • Sustainability and environmental management knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial topics related to facilities, like IFRS 16 concerning Right-of-Use Assets is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in facility management desirable.
  • Proven facility management experience, successfully managing corporate facilities.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of facility management principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and relevant applications.
