This is your unique chance to join our Radical Innovation and New Business Development team in “Buildings of the Future” – a team that has been established to discover, incubate and accelerate business opportunities leveraging ecosystem insights, radical innovation, partnerships and start-up engagement.
The purpose of the “Buildings of the Future” is to lead the way towards sustainable and healthy buildings, while ensuring that VELUX solutions are an increasingly desired part of future building designs. “Buildings of the Future” serves as an innovation- and business development unit to our Products & Innovation organization with both highly specialized competencies within indoor climate, daylight, energy and sustainability, as well as more generic areas such as business and strategy development, partnerships and start-up engagement. Finally, “Buildings of the Future” is playing a key role in pioneering climate and nature action, and leads the strategic efforts in showing the industry how to build sustainably.
About the job
As our new Innovation Research Specialist you will join our Radical Innovation and New Business Development team. Your role is pivotal in driving the early stages of our innovation process, from initial scouting to concept development and maturation. You will leverage AI tools and desktop research methods to gather critical market insights, identify new customer target groups, compile quantitative as well as qualitative data to test and validate new product offerings and support innovation projects.

You will be based at our innovation hub, LKR Innovation House, in Østbirk, or at our headquarter in Hørsholm – depending on where you reside.
About you
As you will be working very early stage in the innovation funnel looking at market trends and spotting opportunity spaces, it is key that you hold strong analytical skills and an ability to interpret data, macro trends and future forecasts. You are experienced in conducting research and desk search, collecting information and summarizing key findings and conclusions in a structured way. Additionally, utilising your advanced communication and writing skills, you clearly articulate future scenarios and research findings.
Naturally curious, you embrace the unknown and are open to exploring new methods, with innovative thinking being one of your key skills. Your eagerness to learn and drive progress motivates you to take initiative in your work, and you are dedicated to achieving your goals and taking ownership of your deliverables.
Additionally, you thrive in collaborative environments and possess a team-oriented mindset. Your solid stakeholder management skills allow you to work and communicate effectively across all organizational levels and with a diverse group of stakeholders.
