Student Assistant for Center of Excellence in Supply – Maintenance-Free Materials

At the VELUX Group , our Center of Excellence in Supply is committed to ensuring manufacturing excellence across our many production companies globally. The Center of Excellence Maintenance Free Materials (CoE MFM) leads production technology activities in the fields of plastic/polymer moulding, extruding, washing lacquering, machining (milling drilling…), welding, reinforcement (wood/steel)and processing. More specifically, the CoE MFM specifies, develops, and delivers production technologies for our production companies. It specifies technology standards and develops new technologies as well as maintaining and optimizing existing ones.

About the job

As our new Student Assistant, you will join our team in Thyregod, and you will report to Director of CoE-MFM, Célia Le Gouil. You will assist the department and team on day-to-day operations, and you will support team members on ongoing projects by conducting research, data analysis and compiling reports.

Moreover, you will:

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improvement

• Help create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures

• Document outcomes of monthly safety walks

• Collaborate with other interns and staff to complete assigned tasks and projects

• Perform administrative tasks as needed to support team objectives

Additionally, it may be possible to do a rotation to other areas of CoE in VELUX.

We are looking for a student who can work 10-15 hours per week. Your work hours are flexible and can be adjusted to match your studies and classes.

The train station in Thyregod is in close proximity to the office location which provides easy access for commuters.

About you

We seek a student assistant ready to engage, learn and make a meaningful contribution in a collaborative team setting. You are experienced in working with data, apply a structured methodology, and take initiative for your personal duties.

It is important that you are comfortable with frequent interactions with and reaching out to internal stakeholders on your own initiative. Moreover, you take a meticulous approach to handling documentation with a high attention to the small but important details and you can communicate clearly and precisely when connecting with our stakeholders.

Furthermore, you:

• Are enrolled in a study programme in Denmark (Bachelor or Master) within Engineering, Business Development, Science or other related fields.

• Are experienced in taking insights from data analysis

• Have a basic understanding of process flows.

• Have advanced skills in written and spoken English and Danish

Experience with PowerBI and knowledge on AI will be an advantage in the role, but not a prerequisite.
