Join our team as the new Technical Product Manager and step into an important role to guarantee that existing accessory products (shutter and awnings) meet established specifications, performance benchmarks, and regulatory compliance and make sure your knowledge and experience is shared in development projects for new products.
About the job
As Technical Product Manager you will serve as the expert on existing products in accessories which primarily consist of shutter and awnings. You will use your product knowledge to identify limitations and find the right technical solutions in relation to current and new products.
You will work cross-functionally to gather relevant input from factories, customers, product development, and quality departments among others to maintain the overview and keep track of the product lifecycle. As you will act in the space between operations and development, you will be working on both short term tasks and long term projects.
Additionally, it is essential to cultivate knowledge within the organization to mentor and train others on product offerings.
Your responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
Develop sustainable, compliant and robust solutions that is designed for manufacturing and execute quality improvements on existing products.
Participate in relevant project meetings to ensure a smooth transition from development to operations.
Participate in quality performance meetings and conduct root cause analyses in specific quality-related cases.
Provide technical product support to Market, Purchase, Product, and Supply organizations to enhance operational effectiveness.
Contribute to global containment cases and non-conformity cases to uphold product integrity and evaluate Requests for Releases (RFR) from production companies in instances of non-conformity.
You will work from our site in Skjern and can expect limited travel domestic and abroad.
About you
We are looking for you who have a solid technical education and experience e.g., with a degree within engineering or as Mechanical Technician. You have at least 5 years of experience in applying technical knowledge from a role as either platform responsible, quality lead responsible of implementation of products or similar and you are experienced in product development or product implementation.
Further you:
Can keep the overview and ensure positive results in a complex environment.
Have advanced stakeholder management skills and a cross-functional mindset.
Work in a structured and analytic way and you can transfer and understand technical issue related to the products.
Are willing to learn the VELUX ways of working and challenge this to seek even better performance.
Have a high focus on technical issues and an interest in acquiring product knowledge.
Are fluent in written and spoken English.
