The Digital Customer Channels & Experience team in Digital Solutions is dedicated to designing, developing, and continuously enhancing digital products tailored to Vestas’ customers.

We embrace a product-led approach, organizing autonomous product teams that include frontend and backend developers, as well as designers, all structured into chapters, alongside a product owner.

We are currently seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our Customer Content and Knowledge team. In this role, you will help create a digital product that enables Vestas’ customers to effortlessly access and download relevant turbine documentation, supporting both the sales and service phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, scalable and secure Java-based applications
• Design and implement backend components and APIs
• Integrate data storage solutions and ensure data consistency
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Implement security protocols and data protection measures
• Write clean and maintainable code following best practices
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members

Qualifications

• Scalable & Secure Development: Develop robust, scalable, and secure Java-based applications, ensuring long-term system stability
• API & Backend Design: Architect and implement backend components and RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with front-end systems
• Data Management & Consistency: Integrate and manage data storage solutions while ensuring data consistency and reliability
• Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize application performance for scalability and efficiency, addressing potential bottlenecks
• Security & Best Practices: Implement security protocols, follow data protection measures, and write clean, maintainable code adhering to industry best practices
• Analytical Thinking: Demonstrate strong analytical skills to understand complex problems and devise efficient backend solutions
• Problem-Solving: Exhibit effective problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and optimize backend functionalities
• Collaboration: Work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively, and contribute positively towards outcomes
• Adaptability: Display adaptability in handling evolving project requirements and adopting new technologies in backend development
• Attention to Detail: Uphold meticulous attention to detail in writing code, ensuring backend functionality is accurate, efficient, and error-free
• Creativity: Bring creative insights to backend development, proposing innovative solutions and optimizing code for improved performance
• Communication: Demonstrate good communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly, collaborate with team members, and engage in effective problem-solving
