ILS Engineer – kickstart your career in the field of Integrated Logistic Support

Weibel develops and manufactures the world´s most advanced Doppler radar systems for costumers across most of the world. Weibel is experiencing tremendous growth and last year we welcomed more than 120 new colleagues to the company. The growth continues, which is why Weibel is looking for a Junior ILS Engineer to strengthen our growing Aftermarket team.

We are looking for a motivated and skilled ILS Engineer to join our skilled team of ILS specialists. Maybe you are a recent engineering graduate with a strong analytical mindset then this is an exciting opportunity for you to kickstart your career in the field of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS).

What is Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)
ILS plans and performs activities for development of logistics support and improve system design, with the goal of creating systems that last longer and require less support, thereby reducing the Life Cycle Cost.

ILS activities in Weibel include:

• Calculating Reliability according to international standards.
• Evaluating Maintainability and Availability aspects of design.
• Creating support concepts for systems (i.e. how is the system repaired, what replaceable parts does the system have, where will different maintenance activities take place, etc)
• Identifying and quantifying spare parts
• Identifying what maintenance is needed for systems.
• Performing maintenance training for customers.

Your qualifications and background
As a person, you are systematic, thorough, efficient and persistent. You will be working with large datasets, the most commonly used tool for collecting and documenting the ILS activities is MS Excel, although some other SW tools are used for specific analyses.

It would be an advantage if you are:

• Recent graduate in Engineering or a related field maybe with a few years of working experience
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and modelling
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details and structure
• Motivated to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights
• Strong in English both written and spoken

Your new team
You will join our ILS team, which is part of Weibel’s Aftermarket organisation and you will report to our Global Aftermarket Director. The Aftermarket team consist of app. 20 competent and dedicated colleagues. We work in a professional and informal environment to ensure the quality of the plans and tasks that Weibel develops and executes.
