Regional Operations Supervisor - Ireland South West

POSTED ON 4/25/2025 AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/9/2025
Ørsted Fredericia, Full Time

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operations of the asset portfolio, focusing primarily on assets in South and West Ireland, where you should expect regular site attendance. You’ll oversee and manage the performance of the assets, maximising operational performance across a number of locations.

Welcome to Asset Operations
You’ll be part of the operations team where you, together with your colleagues, will be driving site operational excellence across the UK and Ireland. You’ll experience a collaborative work environment and have access to opportunities that’ll help you to explore your full potential.

As a team, we we promote strong core values in a dynamic and challenging work environment, investing significantly in employee development.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • acting as front-line interface to numerous stakeholders, such as outsourced O&M providers, landowners, and the system operator
  • delivering the safety, performance, and financial targets of the Asset Management function
  • managing the ongoing implementation of our Electrical Safety Rules, fulfilling the role of Authorizing Engineer within the system
  • supporting, training and upskilling of colleagues and contractors who interact with Orsted managed electrical installations
  • tracking and monitoring the performance of the assets, utilising the Asset Management Information Systems and tools to maximise performance and minimise asset downtime
  • ensuring that work is carried out safely by the service providers, liaising with QHSE specialists, and promoting and applying safe systems of work on the sites
  • acting as the interface with the transmission and distribution system operators for operational communications, outage planning, operational switching, grid code compliance, and fault analysis.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have an analytical approach to your work, excellent organisational skills, and an ability to handle numerous tasks at once, without losing perspective
  • have a relevant educational background with substantial experience in the high voltage or renewables industry
  • are able to create excellent results, both in a solo capacity and through teamwork, and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external business partners
  • are proactive and keen to identify and implement improvement initiatives and share best practice across the department
  • have a positive attitude and thrive within a growing and dynamic business environment.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
