As a hybrid Senior Java Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to support the development team while ensuring that a DevOps mindset is engrained in developing their products.
Tasks:
End-to-end maintenance of systems to ensure strong performance and reliability
Agile solving of problems and troubleshooting of issues across the entire technical stack
Continuous collaboration with developers designing exciting new services and features
Able to take independent responsibility and execute tasks in a pressurised production environment
Able to utilise your knowledge to mentor and develop junior members of the team
Proactive and eager for self-development and continuous learning
Experience:
3 years of experience working with Java (Core Java)
Strong knowledge of JVM internals/ profiling, garbage collection tuning
Experience working with DevOps tools or a willingness to learn and grow in this area
Deep knowledge of multithreaded and concurrent programming
Excellent communicator in English
Nice to haves: Experience working with low latency, TCP internals, socket programming, git, Oracle and MySQL
