Title: Senior Professional Project Management Office / Project Architect
Location: Munich
Remote Work: Max. 20–30% (after onboarding, in alignment with line manager)

Contract Duration: 12 months (extendable to max. 24 months)

Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and enhancement of corporate-wide processes, methods, and IT tools related to customer project execution.
Focus on the area of Project Management Enterprise/Business Architecture.
Design and define the architecture and concept for a comprehensive project management framework supporting the full project lifecycle within the Project Business Operating Model.
Ensure that all necessary process inputs and prerequisites for integrating the framework and its activities across all project phases and gates are in place.
Coordinate closely with stakeholders, especially the Systems Engineering Framework, to align inputs.
Validate that the project management architecture covers all interfaces and disciplines relevant for global project management and is clearly structured.
Create standardized models, templates, and methodologies for project management processes including baseline definitions, project governance, gate criteria, and organizational structures.
Ensure all relevant processes and instructions are consistently integrated into higher-level frameworks, and prepare them accordingly for roll-out and training.
Supervise and guide working students who may support tasks within your scope.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Extensive experience in PMO leadership or in central project management functions, covering the entire project lifecycle in large, complex projects.
In-depth knowledge of international PM standards and their practical use in technically complex industries (e.g. aerospace, defense, railway, plant engineering – not automotive) with multi-year projects.
Proven track record in defining and creating global project management frameworks from a corporate PMO perspective.
Ability to structure complex topics and work in a systematic yet pragmatic manner.
Skilled in managing cross-hierarchical and interdisciplinary communication, especially when dealing with change-related topics.
Experience in change management and transformation projects aimed at project management excellence or operational performance.
Process modeling experience is a plus.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt in fast-changing environments.
