Attention, please! The members of our Marketing & Communications Team have something to say— every day. No wonder, considering they’re in charge of media relations, events, digital marketing, and digital communications, with which they shape BCG’s image among clients, employees, alumni, and job applicants, as well as the media and general public. Bringing the Group's global thought leadership to the world, they ensure that BCG expertise and studies are placed in the right channel at the right time and continuously develop our communications and marketing strategy.
What You'll Do
As a working student, you’ll support our Leadership Communications team on internal and external communication. The team’s responsibilities include positioning the Head of our region Central Europe, both in-house and in the media, and strategically planning and implementing various communication formats.
Working closely with other colleagues in Corporate Communications, you will gain broad insight into BCG’s leadership and employee communications in Central Europe and external press relations in Germany.
Your Tasks Will Include The Following
- Creating content, text, and visual designs for various communication formats such as townhall meetings, newsletters, mailings, videos, and LinkedIn
- Conducting research and creating briefings, presentations, and speeches for BCG’s Head of Central Europe Collaborating on the development of creative concepts for leadership positioning, internal communication formats, and external media opportunities
- Monitoring the media landscape for opportunities to place BCG’s content in the media and address current trends
- Participating in daily and weekly planning meetings and supporting the team with organizational and day-to-day operations
What You'll Bring
- You’re enrolled as a student in a bachelor’s or master’s program (ideally in business management, economics, politics, marketing, media and communications, journalism, or the humanities).
- You can work up to 20 hours a week during your semesters and up to 40 hours a week during your semester breaks. This is a temporary role for a period of 12 to 24 months.
- You're passionate about communication and enjoy working creatively.
- You enjoy writing and ideally have gained some initial professional experience in journalism or communication.
- You have a strong interest in business and economic topics and a good instinct for how to communicate them effectively.
- You have a good command of the software comprising the MS Office package. Familiarity with social listening tools and CRM databases is a plus, as is experience working with AI tools.
- You ideally have a basic grasp of graphics and video software.
- Excellent German and English skills round out your profile.
Who You'll Work With
You'll be part of our Corporate Communications team in Central Europe, working closely with colleagues in our offices in Munich, Düsseldorf, Zurich, Prague, Budapest, and Warsaw. Your supervisors will support you in onboarding at the company and in your professional development, and you will always be able to draw on the experience of your colleagues.
