Job Description Summary
As the Business Intelligence Lead for our operations in Germany, you will be at the forefront of guiding and expanding our Business Intelligence capabilities. Your focus will be on local delivery and transforming Germanys analytics offerings. Collaborating closely with local teams and leadership, you will leverage data to drive insights, enhance client value, and propel our business operations forward. Working in tandem with a locally focused data operations team, your role is nested within the larger EMEA Analytics team, ensuring synergy with a wide array of talent including data scientists and automation specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence and data analytics within the real estate industry, with experience leading a small team.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Work with local business leaders and teams to understand the business needs and propose solutions in line with EMEA Data Analytics strategy
- Communicate with management regularly to share updates on projects and ensure they are on track
- Provide advice to other colleagues and project teams on the design and implementation of BI analysis
- Use local stakeholder network to surface and develop business requirements
- Develop reports based on data analysis and provide recommendations for action
- Manage a small team of local / remote BI specialists allocated to the country
- Meet regularly with other BI leaders across EMEA to ensure consistency of approach and to share ideas
- Attend client pitches and meetings as needed
- Provide training on new business intelligence tools and technologies to users within the organization.
Knowledge & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics withing the real estate market in Germany
- Fluent in English, with exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Common MS Office applications to excellent levels including SharePoint and OneDrive
- Strong proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data analytics platforms, with a solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts in a simple, understandable way
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience leading a small team.
