Team Leader - Customs and Dispatch (m/f/d)

DSJ Global are partnered with one of the largest automotive tier 1 suppliers globally, in their search for a Team Leader of Customs & Dispatch. This position will lead a team of 35 blue-collar workers in their Warehouse.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team, ensuring the efficient handling of shipping documentation, customs clearance, returns, and transport-related complaints.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments (SCM, picking, packing) and external partners (logistics providers, customers, export headquarters) to streamline operations.
• Provide professional and disciplinary leadership, fostering the continuous development of your team.
• Optimise shipping and customs processes, including the use of ATLAS and compliance with export control regulations.
• Oversee and improve the efficiency of the delivery process.
• Manage returns, transport complaints, and supplier declarations to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct training and professional development for team members.

Your Profile:

• A degree in Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain Management, or a related qualification (or equivalent professional training).
• Several years of experience in shipping and customs clearance, with at least two years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage teams, ideally within shipping, customs, or customer clearance.
• Strong expertise in export processing and proficiency in ATLAS.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with logistics software and customs clearance systems, including handling third-country shipments and hazardous goods.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
• Fluent in both German and English, spoken and written.
