Visiting Analyst / Intern at Gründerfonds Ruhr

We are Gründerfonds Ruhr. As an early-stage VC based in Essen, we support founding teams from the beginning in building companies that drive innovation and change. We have a B2B-Tech focus and invest into seed stage companies that are able to solve relevant problems with their product and have the potential to become market leaders in their segment. We invest throughout Germany with a focus on the Ruhr region.

As a Visiting Analyst / Intern, you will be part of our investment team and will support us in

• Diving into the latest technological trends and uncovering exciting startups; create insightful reports that drive our next big investments
• Help scout and assess groundbreaking investment opportunities, from initial discovery to deep-dive analysis
• Attending important events to build our network and brand within the community

What you need to succeed

• A passion for startups, new technologies and business models
• Currently enrolled in a university in a field such as Business, Finance, Economics, Law or a technical background (i.e. engineering, medicine)
• Work/ internship experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment (VC, PE, consulting, investment banking, or high-growth startups)
• Adaptability and flexibility to meet the needs of a fast-paced environment and a mainly remote working team
• Strong command of the English and German language
• Time commitment of at least 3 months
