available at the Institute of Cardiovascular Regeneration at the Goethe-University of Frankfurt (Germany).

The contract is initially limited to 2 years with the possibility of extension.

We study the dynamic mechanisms underlying the subcellular localization regulation of coding and long non-coding RNAs in both healthy and disease states. Our interdisciplinary approach combines advanced imaging with molecular and computational techniques to explore how RNA localization influences cellular function and pathology. Our team is looking for experimental and/or computational applicants.

Activities And Responsibilities

The successful candidate will utilize targeted and multiplexed single-molecule RNA imaging methods to visualize RNA molecules at high resolution. In addition, the candidate will investigate the interactions between RNAs and proteins that regulate their localization and function. They will also employ high-throughput sequencing techniques such as RNA-seq to profile RNA populations and uncover regulatory patterns, and apply genome editing tools such as CRISPR-Cas9 to manipulate RNA regulatory motifs and assess functional outcomes. Computational skills in data analysis are highly valued.

Qualification profile

The ideal candidate will be passionate about molecular biology and eager to contribute to innovative research. A strong foundation in experimental techniques and a keen interest in RNA biology are highly desirable, background in computational biology is a plus.

Benefits

Our laboratory offers a stimulating and collaborative working environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure and unique professional career development opportunities. We are a part of the CPI Cluster of Excellence, TRR267 on non-coding RNAs in the cardiovascular system, and SCALE with numerous opportunities to engage with researchers working in diverse fields. We value diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
