Project Manager - Sustainability Certification

Meo Carbon Solutions is an independent consulting company focusing on sustainability advancement. We support public and private sector clients worldwide in the strategic orientation and implementation of goal-oriented measures towards more sustainable production pathways and ecologically and socially responsible business activities. Our aim is to help clients achieve carbon-neutrality and net-zero by developing corporate sustainability strategies, calculating product and company carbon footprints as well as implementing sustainability measures, emission compensation and carbon trading. We are also involved in the development and implementation of sustainability standards to ensure sustainable value chains and social compliance.

In this role you will ...

• support the development of a sustainability certification schemes
• be responsible for consulting projects with a focus on circular economy, bioeconomy, renewable fuels and energy, plastic waste and recycling, chemical products and many more
• perform data research, analysis and evaluations for specific customer requests and the preparation of reports and market studies
• implement the concepts and processes together with our customers
• support the further development of our service portfolio and manage proposals and tenders
• be responsible for the whole project lifecycle including scheduling, stakeholder management, documentation, controlling, participation in client meetings and project workshops
• perform company presentations at public national and international events

• University degree in economics, environmental engineering, chemistry, energy management, natural sciences, life sciences, agriculture, forestry, land management or other related fields
• At least three years of relevant professional experience in e.g. greenhouse gas calculations, sustainability certification, auditing for international supply chains
• Proven hands-on experience in applying e.g. RED methodology, sustainability certification schemes (e.g. ISCC, FSC) as an auditor or consultant, policy consulting, GHG Protocol and similar standards as well as Lifecycle Assessments for different products will be of advantage
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (both at least C1), other languages of advantage
• Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and to prepare professional presentations according to target group
• High degree of initiative and commitment combined with an independent working style and pragmatic, hands-on attitude
• Very good computer and MS Office skills as well as high general IT proficiency
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally
