Foundation Fabrication Engineer

We are looking for a Foundation Fabrication Engineer for one of our clients in the offshore wind industry, the locations for this role are either Hamburg or Bremen.

Tasks:

• Supporting in Supplier selection, evaluation of offers and approval in cooperation with the FOU Fabrication Manager and HSEQ team.
• Responsible for participation in Supplier audits and the subsequent follow-up on reporting and findings.
• Responsible for providing support during production and acceptance of components at Suppliers, including management of TQ, NCRs, as-build, QA, approval of WPS and as-build documentation.
• Responsible for review of Supplier Technical deviation list and alignment with FOU Design team.
• Support for clarification of technical interfaces towards internal (other work packages) and external (suppliers, 3rd parties) stakeholders.
• Responsible for checking and verifying the supplier's workshop drawings, method statements and other related production documents in coordination with the Employer Requirements.
• Responsible for supporting during contract negotiations on review of Supplier documents, incl. responses to Supplier’s technical deviation list.
• Accountable for Employer Requirements towards fabrication.
• Responsible for monitoring adherence to the production schedule (punctual completion and delivery) and drawings.
• Responsible for monitoring of works on-site relating to HSSE and quality in cooperation with the QA/QM team.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc or M.Sc degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong skills in production of heave steel components, their processes such as cutting, bending, welding and coating. Preferably, experience in production of offshore wind foundations.
• Deep knowledge in rules and standards in steel works, especially in the offshore sector (DNV, BSH, ISO9001, ISO1090, ISO3834, etc.)
• Experience in Supplier Quality Control (SQC), including their standards and regulations
