Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the Civil, Structural, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Life Safety work packages.
Manage site safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including setup, management, and closeout of safety files.
Oversee site quality assurance (QA) processes in collaboration with the Project Manager and team, ensuring proper documentation and closeout.
Manage the project schedule alongside the Planner, Project Managers, Subcontractors, and consulting Engineers/Architects to meet project requirements.
Ensure adherence to the project schedule through Daily Activity Briefings (DABs) and on-site actions.
Monitor package budgets and drive cost efficiency through effective performance and supply chain continuity.
Cost & Resource Management:
Oversee costs associated with project logistics and site maintenance, including:
Labour
Material
Plant and equipment
Variations
Valuations
Control day-to-day site operations within the project schedule.
Track subcontractor progress against the schedule and ensure adequate manpower levels.
Conduct and document subcontractor meetings, including:
Whiteboard meetings
DABs meetings
Weekly progress/construction meetings
Quality, environmental, health, and safety meetings
Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety records, is up to date and properly filed.
Coordination & Reporting:
Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
Oversee the closeout of project items, including punch lists, safety files, QA files, material and plant relocations, with support from the project team.
Issue daily reports via BIM 360 to the Project Manager.
Ensure the Project Administrator issues weekly safety statistics and project labour projections.
Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are captured and costs are issued to the client.
Implement and refine company procedures in coordination with project managers.
Review drawings and setting-out details.
Produce builders' works drawings for services.
Manage the distribution and closeout of snags, ensuring room readiness.
Perform any other duties associated with the role, as required by the company.
Qualification
Engineering Degree or recognised trade qualification
10 years’ experience of managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages.
Understanding of mechanical and electrical installations and interfaces.
