The Head of Legal & Compliance Surface Solutions will oversee the legal and compliance functions of a newly independent global organization with 1,200 employees in 20 countries. This role will provide strategic legal guidance, manage legal risks, and build a standalone legal organization to support the company’s needs post-divestment.

Furthermore, the General Counsel will be in charge of creating synergies and of driving the globalization transformation of GNMI as a group as part of the mid-term integration process. This includes the identification of opportunities for Legal and Compliance integration and synergy across affiliated business units to maximize value creation and achieve operational efficiency.

Your Role

• Develop and implement a legal strategy aligned with business goals.
• Provide legal counsel to the President and leadership team.
• Advise on corporate governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across geographies.
• Oversee data protection, intellectual property, and contract management.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks to protect company interests.
• Design legal systems and processes for a newly independent company.
• Recruit and manage an in-house legal team.
• Collaborate with external legal advisors and regulatory authorities.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with stakeholders and vendors.
  
  

Who You Are

• Law degree from a recognized institution; bar admission required.
• 12 years of legal experience, with a focus on corporate and international law.
• Proven expertise in managing legal operations for global organizations.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
