As part of our core businesses, our premium single-use Operation Room products, laparoscopy instruments as well as our customized ProcedurePak® trays offer our customers a system solution that combines OR-specific products, high security & delivery, and logistic advantages.

The Business Director ORS DACH will lead and develop commercial sales and marketing efforts for Operating Room Solutions (ORS) organization across the region.

Region: Germany, Austria, Switzerland

Location: To be based in Germany ideally.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategy Implementation:
    • Develop and implement short- and long-term business plans and sales and marketing strategy to grow sales and profits. Drive strategy around customer needs to generate value added.
    • Establish and deliver DACH business plans and P&L in line with corporate strategy, including setting goals, objectives, and metrics for commercial objectives.
    • Secure that financials and sales forecasting is professionally managed and Key Economic Drivers are defined and measured.
  • Delivery of Business Performance:
    • Lead commercial operations, setting and delivering objectives and budgets and manage continuous performance management initiatives.
    • Manage regional pricing in line with global guidelines.
    • Ensure effective and efficient sales management across the region, including Sales lead generation, Bid and Proposal Management, Sales order management, sales force management.
    • Develop and manage our distributor channels to ensure overall business objectives.
    • Maintain and develop a network of key stakeholders and key opinion leaders.
    • Lead and align regional and country sales and marketing efforts to enhance cooperation with Global Marketing, R&D and Supply Chain & Operations.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Oversee, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing team. Drive team engagement and inspire a culture of positivity, trust, and change management.
    • Responsibilities include evaluating performance, talent development and coaching/training, as well as addressing employee relations issues.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in and understanding of the medical device industry across DACH region.
  • Successful track record in managing sales and marketing teams, most recent in senior management, leading multi-disciplinary, multi-site teams.
  • High level business acumen and ability to plan; budget and financial management of country/region.
  • Intercultural profile preferred – at ease working with different nationalities and cultures.
  • Entrepreneurial, action-oriented, and innovative approach to leading a commercial business.
  • Strategic mindset and analytical capability; able to manage complexity and ambiguity.
  • Drives Vision & Purpose to motivate others to action.
  • Authentic leadership, ability to gain confidence and trust through honesty, integrity, and sincerity.
  • Interpersonal Savvy with an ability to relate comfortably with diverse groups of people.
  • Languages: Business fluent in English and advanced German language skills
