- Position: Communications & Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)
- Hours: 32 hrs/week
- Contract: Until 31 October 2024
- Location: Berlin (with occasional travel to Munich or NRW)
- Schedule: Flexible; some Saturdays are required for the Digital Women Program
- Salary: TV-L E10 S1–2
- Works closely with Program Managers and Fundraising and Partnership teams
Your mission
As Communications & Marketing Manager, You Will Refine, Adjust, And Execute Communications And Marketing Strategies That Give Visibility To Three Of ReDI’s Programs
- Digital Women* Program (DWP) - equipping FINTA* individuals with digital skills, mentorship, and job access.
- Digital Career Program (DCP) - supporting newcomers through free, part-time tech education and career readiness.
- Talent & Success Program - bridging ReDI talent with job opportunities through job fairs, summits, and partnerships.
You’ll drive
digital campaigns,
content creation, and
external communications to raise awareness, boost recruitment, and support fundraising for these life-changing initiatives.
Your tasks
Strategy & Campaigns
- Lead national visibility efforts (Germany-wide) through targeted campaigns, storytelling, and PR outreach.
- Coordinate large-scale awareness initiatives across platforms and stakeholders, such as #FundHerFuture and ReDI Talent Summit.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and ads and adjust content based on real-time insights.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising & Partnerships teams to deliver donor-focused messaging and partner engagement campaigns.
Social Media & Content Creation
- Plan and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Hootsuite, ensuring consistent tone and messaging.
- Create engaging copy for newsletters, blog posts, press releases, event descriptions, and campaign materials.
- Support local teams (Berlin, Munich, NRW) with regional comms needs, tailoring content for different learner groups.
- Ensure GDPR-compliant photo and video collection of learners, events, and volunteers.
- Provide social media expertise to internal teams via Slack and internal channels.
- Curate alumni stories, volunteer testimonials, and impact stats to inspire donations and applications.
Advertising & Analytics
- Own and manage LinkedIn Ad Grant campaigns for student, volunteer, partner & donor recruitment.
- Track and report ad performance, engagement, and conversions.
- Test and improve copy, formats, and audience targeting to optimize campaign ROI.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to create compelling donor and partner communications, integrating communication strategies with fundraising goals.
- Support outreach and engagement with alumni, students, and volunteers through storytelling and social media campaigns.
- Liaise with Program Managers to collect stories, impact data, and feedback.
Your profile
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in marketing/communications, ideally in a non-profit, tech, or education space
- Fluent in English, with strong communication and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with gender-inclusive communication
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills (especially for digital & social platforms).
- Strategic and creative thinker with strong project management abilities
- Comfortable using tools like Hootsuite, Canva, and analytics dashboards.
- Confidence in working independently while collaborating across multiple teams/locations
- Committed to diversity, equity, and digital inclusion
- Experience in project & campaign management, content strategy, and community engagement.
Nice-to-Have
- Fluency in German
- Experience with paid ad campaigns (LinkedIn Ads).
