I'm Duarte, Head of Project Management at VoltStorage GmbH, a Munich-based start-up with more than 70 employees. In 2016, Jakob, Michael and Felix founded VoltStorage. Our vision is to make renewable energy available 24/7 to enable a green, sustainable and fair future. As an expert for stationary flow batteries, we want to cover all application areas of stationary battery storage systems with our multi-technological approach and thus contribute significantly to the energy transition.

To support our large project, I am looking for a

Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

to become part of our project management team and be responsible for our system development projects.

• Coordinate technical projects from initiation through execution, monitoring, and successful closure


• Collaborate with technical teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define clear project objectives, scope, and deliverables


• Planning, executing, and monitoring project timeline, budget, resources from the early stage of the technical concept solution of the system to series production


• Reporting project status and escalating problems in a timely manner


• Managing stakeholder expectations


• Identify potential risks, create mitigation plans, and proactively manage project issues


• Coordinate regular team meetings, track progress, and communicate status updates clearly to stakeholders


• Ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and compliance requirements


• Foster collaboration, motivate team members, and ensure alignment across departments


• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and reports throughout project lifecycles

• Technical background (MS Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or similar)


• 5 years of project management leading an engineering/R&D project team from project early-stage to series production


• Experience managing technology projects involving software development, hardware implementation, or system integrations


• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project, or similar


• Strong technical understanding to facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders


• Excellent organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills


• PMP, Prince, Agile, Scrum Master, or related certifications are highly desirable


• Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


• Very good English, German knowledge optional but desirable
