Senior Vehicle Type Approval Engineer (A10436)

Responsibilities：

1. Manage and coordinate type approval processes for new vehicle models and systems (e.g. according to EU directives, ECE regulations)

2. Serve as the main contact for technical compliance and regulatory matters in vehicle development projects

3. Interpret and implement global automotive regulations and ensure timely approval for market entry

4. Liaise with internal departments, testing authorities, and government bodies to secure approvals

5. Prepare and maintain technical documentation required for type approval submissions

6. Support global homologation efforts for the ECE markets

7. Train and advise internal teams on compliance topics and homologation procedures

8. Use and develop methodologies for efficient, goal oriented development

Qualifications：

1. Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field

2. Several years of experience in vehicle type approval, homologation, or regulatory compliance

3. Solid knowledge of international vehicle regulations (EU, ECE, FMVSS, GB, etc.)

4. Proven experience in planning and conducting homologation tests (e.g. emissions, safety, EMC, etc.)

5. Experience working with approval authorities and technical services

6. Strong analytical and communication skills

7. Structured, proactive working style with a hands-on mentality

8. Fluent written and spoken English (report language); German or Chinese skills are a plus

9. Willingness to travel
