Head of Business Development to join our dynamic team and contribute to our success. In this position, you will report to the VP of Pumps.
This position is mainly located in Europe, but we are open to other regions as well for the right candidate. At Metso, we offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support business development projects linked to business growth, product and solution development, and operational efficiency.
- Lead annual strategy process round for the Pumps BL in line with Consumables Business Area (BA) strategy process.
- Create project plans, concepts, business cases, and investment cases.
- Lead and support the M&A activity for Pumps BL together with the BL leadership.
- Create data-driven growth strategy plans for specific markets and products.
- Management of strategic initiatives: time, budget, KPIs.
- Assess market trends and competitors, identify threats and opportunities.
- Present findings, projections, and recommended actions.
- Support and guide senior executive decision-making processes.
- Lead the BL performance KPI development and reporting together with the Finance business partner.
Who You Are
- Experience in versatile strategy work and planning. The ability to create and execute a clear, long-term growth strategy that aligns with the company's ambitious goals.
- Experience in project management and proven track record of delivering successfully.
- Experience in managing and executing M&A is considered beneficial.
- Proficiency in analyzing market data, financial reports, and business metrics to make informed decisions that drive global growth.
- You are an excellent, diplomatic communicator who can convey messages effectively, negotiate and build relationships with stakeholders across various cultures and time zones through verbal communication, analytics, and presentations.
- A mindset focused on driving results, growth, and continuous improvement.
